Ratliff Architects was founded March 2002

The scope of projects include residential (new homes, additions, and renovations), commercial (new office buildings, interior, build outs, salons, restaurants, clinics, warehouses, apartments, and retail). 

Expertise with permitting and dealing with the State Fire Marshal, Historic District Landmarks Commission (HDLC), and Vieux Carre Commission (VCC).

Rodney's passion for architecture began at age 10 when his parents hired an English architect to design their new home while living in Spain.

Rodney was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma.  He has lived in

Colorado, Maryland, Spain, Texas, and Louisiana. 

Prior to establishing Ratliff Architects, Rodney began his career working for Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas then returned to Louisiana to work with Gulf South Engineers, Billes Manning, Mathes Group, Williams and Associates, and Stewart Enterprises.


He has been married since 1984 and has twin children born 1991.

His interests are boating, skiing (water and snow), fishing, kayaking,

hiking, biking, sketching, tennis, golf, and music.
